I. (1-3) “Sinners Still Seek Him”

II. (4-7) “Sinners Still Find Him”

III. (8-9) “Sinners are Still Converted Through Him”

It is possible that often times we each experience a feeling of being unworthy because of maybe a condition or a sin. The story of Zacchaeus teaches us that no matter what, Jesus Christ wants us, and is interested in us!

2. The Compassionate Christ (40-42)

Have you ever been in one of those situations of life that the thought of helplessness had complete control of your thinking, and outlook?  A situation that you might think, that nobody understands, or even cares?  Well in today’s sermon, we are going to look at a story of a man that was in this condition.  However, all that changed when the Master came near!

“Character, a Christian Defense” (II Corinthians 10: 1-13)

I. (1-6) “The Challenge of Christian Character”

II. (7-12) “The Test of Christian Character”

III. (13) “The Commitment of Christian Character”

Today’s sermon is intended to stress the importance and impact of our Christian character, both as our witness and our defense. There are two beings that know our true character, one is God, and the other is ourselves. Is your “Christian Character” solid enough to endure the test of truth?

Sunday Morning, February 21, 2010 – Pastor Dean Bradford

Sermon and Teaching Notes |

“Second Chances” (Jonah 1:1-17)

I. “The Commission” (1-2)

II. “The Contradiction” (3-15)

III. “The Compassion” (16-17)

As Christians, we can often remember the time and place that we gave our heart to Jesus or we are sure that we have. However, many of us still lack one important thing in our relationship with the Lord, commitment! Often times, this is a result of us not wanting to give God control of our lives and our direction. Jonah had this same problem and God was not pleased with it. Yet so often as God does, Jonah was given a second chance. Do you need a second chance today?

Sunday, February 14, 2010 – Dean Bradford

Sermon and Teaching Notes |

“Blessed Assurance” (Romans 8:31-39)

I. (31-34) “God’s Conquering Concern”

II. (35-36) “God’s Conquering Care”

III. (37-39) “God’s Conquering Confidence”

It is both possible and practical for a Christian to sure of “who we are” in Christ. The idea of Blessed Assurance is knowing beyond any doubt that God loves us, and that we are His! Blessed Assurance in its simplest way is knowing that I have an identity with Christ.
