John 8:12

“I am the light of the world” – this is Jesus using a physical thing to describe a spiritual thought.

Sin = Darkness
Satan = Darkness
The World = Darkness

• The closer you stay to Jesus, the less you’ll be in the dark!
• Our fleshly nature loves to be in darkness.
• John 8:32 – The “truth” is Jesus Christ, and He will set us free.
• John 8:36 – If the SON makes you free, you are truly free.
• John 8:39 – If they were really Abraham’s children, why did they not have the FAITH that Abraham had?
• John 8:44 – The children of the devil will do the things of the devil
• John 8:51 – Believers will never truly “see” death.
• John 8:58 – This is a statement of the deity of Christ.
