I Timothy 2:1-3

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty;

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Christians have a responsibility to pray. It’s amazingly clear in these three verses. It seems there are always political issues in America, and the most important thing that Christians can do is to pray for our leaders. It may not be our job to lead the country, but it is our job to support our leaders with prayer.
