“Conveying the Truth of the Gospel”
Matthew 13: 1-23
I. (1-9) “The Reach of the Truth”
II. (10-15) “The Realization of the Truth”
III. (16-23) “The Revealing of the Truth”
As most every believer knows that now more than ever the world needs the truth. Truth can be elusive to some and profound to others, this depends primarily upon the condition of the heart of the one who hears the truth. This in a sense is why Jesus often spoke in parables. For the next few weeks, we are going to examine some of those short stories that He taught and hopefully gain a better understanding of their importance and impact in our lives.
This morning we are going to investigate the most important truth that we will ever gain in this life, the Gospel. It is the life-giving and life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Yet for some, it is only a fable or legend, for others it is something that they just casually believe in when needed, and for some it seems to be the most practical thing to do. However, there are those among us that have fully received the Word and its truth has changed us forever!
