Have you ever been in one of those situations of life that the thought of helplessness had complete control of your thinking, and outlook? A situation that you might think, that nobody understands, or even cares? Well in today’s sermon, we are going to look at a story of a man that was in this condition. However, all that changed when the Master came near!

Nursing Home Visit Cancelled

THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT

Exodus 20:12

The fifth commandment is the first of the horizontal commandments.
Our parents are worthy of honor.
We are also expected, as parents, to be good examples to our children.
Jesus followed this commandment, and He set an example for us to follow.
Mark 7:5-13
Traditions of men don’t change the commandments of God.
We should honor our parents, even if they did “a bad job.”
We are bound to this commandment because
- Jesus set the example for us to follow – John 2:4
- It summons us to honor, respect, and care for our parents – Ephesians 6:1-4
Parents are also called to BE honorable!
