Crossroads for Visitors
Welcome to Crossroads Baptist, a Missionary Baptist church in Western North Carolina. Here, you’ll find a small church full of big hearts and loving, caring Christians. We’re not here to impress you; we’re here to love you. We know that you have problems, and we know that you aren’t perfect. But we love you anyway. Guess what – we’re not perfect, either!
We don’t pull punches – we’ll tell you what we believe about right and wrong. We’ll also point you to the only person who can do something about all the wrong stuff we’ve all done.
We don’t like to play church. We believe that Christians should be “real”. We don’t want to do anything that would hinder your vision; we just want you to see Jesus.
We’re not stuck on one type of music. You’ll hear anything from bluegrass to contemporary Christian, from hymns in E flat to worship in E minor. We ARE stuck on Jesus, and you’ll never be in a gathering at Crossroads that we fail to talk about Jesus. We believe that worship is a condition of the heart, not just a style of music.
We’re not a formal church. You don’t need to wear a tie. You don’t need to wear heels. Just bring a heart that is interested in Jesus and in knowing Him better.
We don’t ask our visitors to wear a name tag or to even raise their hand. We understand that visiting a new church can be intimidating, and we want to do everything possible to help you feel at home.
Our services usually last about an hour and fifteen minutes, give or take a few minutes either way.
We really hope you will honor us with a visit. We really hope that you will leave us more determined than ever to be like Jesus. If you don’t know Jesus, we hope that we can introduce you to your best friend.
